Directed by C. Prem Kumar, who had also helmed the original, Sharwanand and Samantha will be reprising the roles played by Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha respectively.
On 17th November, which marks the birthday of C.Prem Kumar, Samantha took to her social media account to wish the director and posted a picture, captioning it thus: 'Wishing my dear director a very happy birthday.. it’s your time and it’s going to be your time for a long time. Thankyou for recreating the magic . #Janu'.
