Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsIn a news that has shocked the entire nation, popular TV anchor and Republic Television editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, was arrested by the Alibaug Police on Wednesday morning (November 4).
He is said to have been arrested in connection with the death of interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother Kumud Naik in 2018 over alleged non-payment of dues by Republic TV. This comes at a times when TRP scam investigation against Arnab is going on in Mumbai.
According to a statement released by Republic TV, Arnab Goswami was “physically assaulted and dragged out of his home in a police van”. Republic TV reported around 10 policemen entered Arnab's house and "pushed and heckled Arnab demanding he come out".
The statement also claimed that his son was beaten-up. It also stated that Arnab was blocked by the Mumbai Police to contact his legal team. Check out the full statement here -
