17 YEARS BEFORE WITH FATHER, NOW WITH SON IN SARKAR

From the teaser of Vijay's Sarkar, we can predict that he plays a corporate tycoon living in the USA who comes to India to cast his vote. But things don't seem easy and soon after he is left with no choice but to fight against the political system of the state of Tamil Nadu.

It is also evident that Vijay uses the support of the youngsters to fight against the politicians. One of the actors who is part of that youth wing is none other than Ramesh Kanna's son Jashwanth Kannan.

Ramesh Kanna has acted in RS Manohar's drama troupe from the age of 5 as a child artist in more than 1000 dramas up to his age of 10. He later went on to assist directors like Karaikudi Narayanan, Pandirajan, Kodi Ramakrishnan, Vikraman and KS Ravikumar.

He played a few small time roles in the films that he assisted before getting a huge break as a comedian in Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen. He then acted in supporting roles in films like Padayappa, Friends, Unnai Ninaithu, Villain and many more.

Friends was a very important film in Ramesh Khanna's career where he played Vijay and Suriya's friend. The film went on to be a smashing hit. Now after 17 years, Jashwanth Kannan, his son is acting with Vijay, maybe not as a friend but apparently as a close ally. Vijay looks as dashing and young as he was 17 years back.

Jashwanth Kannan is assisting director AR Murugadoss in Sarkar and maybe that is how he found the chance to act alongside Vijay. Playing character roles gave Ramesh Khanna a chance to direct Ajith Kumar in Thodarum. Will history repeat itself? Will his son find a chance to direct Vijay in the future? Let's see.
