In his post, Sanjeev had also remarked that the announcement was delayed due to some issues, which were unndisclosed by the actor. He had also pleasantly noted that the two have married during his wife, Alya's birthday.

Sanjeev made his silverscreen debut with the 2009 Tamil drama Kulir 100, directed by Anita Udeep. The actor was recently featured in the 2018 horror anthology film 6 Athiyayam.
