RAGHAVA LAWRENCE & PRIYA BHAVANI SHANKAR TO BRING BACK EVERGREEN MAGIC ON SCREEN FOR THEIR NEXT - EXCITING DEETS!

On August 26, Raghava Lawrence took to Twitter to a share a poster of the film and announced that 'Rudhran' will hit theatres on April 14, 2022. Priya Bhavani Shankar is playing the female lead and GV Prakash is scoring music for the film. At a time when the fourth schedule of the film is currently ongoing, GV Prakash has remixed the evergreen song 'Paadatha Paatellam Paada Vanthal' from the 1962 film 'Veerathirumagan' for 'Rudhran'

A grand set has been erected at a cost of Rs 1 crore for shooting the song sequence. Choreographer Sridhar has created the dance steps for the song. The yesteryear song was composed by Viswanathan - Ramamoorthy and the lyrics were written by legendary Lyricist and Poet Kannadasan.

Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence has Vetrimaaran's 'Adhigaram' and 'Durga' in his Kitty. Priya Bhavani Shankar, who was last seen in Chimbu Devan's hyperlink film 'Kasada Thapara', is awaiting the release of 'Oh Manapenne' which will hit Disney+Hotstar on October 22. She has a long list of films including Arun Vijay's 'Yaanai', Dhanush's 'Thiruchitrambalam', Silambarasan's 'Pathu Thala', 'Hostel' and 'Kuruthi Aattam'.
