It’s been nearly four decades and yet what stands out to be the mother of all horror biggies is Kamal Haasan and Sri Priya starrer Neeya. The film that released in 1979 turned out to be a blockbuster and enraptured the audience with its spine-shuddering elements. Now, it’s time to revisit the film. Director L Suresh will be making a film called Neeya 2 on a bigger scale.

Speaking of the cast and crew, Director L Suresh says, “Jai is playing the lead role in this film and will be seen in two different dimensions. Varalaxmi will be seen as a snake woman while Raai Laxmi and Catherine Tresa will be seen in other female lead roles. Bala Saravanan and many more prominent actors would be seen in important roles. The first schedule of the shoot happened in Puducherry and will continue in Talakonam, Chennai, Madurai and Chalakudi.”

Neeya 2 will be a violent and passionate love story, which is being produced on a budget of Rs 10 crore. Jumbo Cinemas A Sridhar, who is far-famed for his vast experience of film production, embarks on his journey as a producer with this film. L Suresh has written the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from wielding megaphone for this film. Shabir has composed music with cinematography being handled by Rajavel Mohan.
