Draupathi has invited several controversies and the film's depiction of caste issues have been subjected to debate. Amidst the controversies, Draupathi has managed to score a dream run by grossing over Rs 7.21 crores at the box office.
Ahead of Women's Day (March 8), Kiran Bedi arranged a show for the housekeeping staff of her official residence Raj Nivas to 'celebrate womanhood'. The former IPS officer posted a picture of her staff members who were attending the premiere.
Mohan G. thanked her for the kind gesture shown to the film. The director was recently in the news for inviting Pa. Ranjith to a screening of Draupathi.
