HOW IS DIRECTOR DHANUSH'S DEBUT, POWER PAANDI'S TRAILER?

It looks as though the new director in town, Dhanush, has come to offer a fresh, beautiful, emotional and a feel good ride. Paandiyan Pazhanisamy, played by Rajkiran seems to be a 64-year-old retired fight master in the film industry with a love that was apparently lost in his youth.

The trailer is colorful and adds a charming flavor to a script that looks to be set in a rural as well as an urban environment. Sean Roldan's music sounds as though it is all set to add a lot of value to Velraj's wonderfully captured visuals. The movie holds an ensemble cast featuring yesteryear beauty Revathi who still looks ravishing at this age, Madonna Sebastian, Prasanna, Chaya Singh, Dhivyadharshini, Sendrayan, Rinson and the young, Master Raghavan, who expertly played Vijay Sethupathi's son in Sethupathi.

There are many other characters in this film who haven't featured in the trailer, and we can catch their performances on the screen on April 14th which is Tamil New Years day. The film looks like a good part of it is based in a village, a major part of it in the city and also a road trip portion. On the whole, it looks like young Paandi played by Dhanush is in love with a girl (Madonna). For some reason, they don't end up together, and he pursues his career as a fight master and both of them eventually get married to different people. And through the course of time, lose their respective spouses and revisit their love in their 60s.

Just as we start to think where Dhanush is, he plays a mass 5-second cameo in the trailer! This allows us to extend our fantasies and expect a massy, commercial, breezy, beautiful and an incredibly light-hearted feel in Power Paandi.

The trailer, filled with positivity and wonder gives us lots to expect from the film. Let us wait for another 3 Fridays to catch this on screen!
