The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards Ceremony was held on May 21 and 22 in Chennai. Numerous celebrities attended the Behindwoods Awards on both days. Vetri Maaran, Selvaraghavan, Venkat Prabhu, SJ Suryah, Vignesh Sivan, Nelson, Manikandan, Yogi Babu, Sathish, Sunny Leone, Lijomol Jose, Andrea, Gnanavel, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Jonita Gandhi, Anirudh, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sai Pallavi, Mohan and Ramya Pandian amongst others graced the two-day event.

Best Entertainer Female

The show was also attended by Beast film actress Pooja Hegde and director Nelson. Pooja Hegde was awarded in the ‘Best Entertainer (Female)’ category at the event. The award was presented by director Nelson. After that, Pooja Hegde was requested by the fans to dance.

Nelson dances

Speaking at the time, Pooja Hegde said, "I will dance only when Nelson comes. You 've never seen him play dance to Butta Bomma. ” She invited Nelson to the stage. But at first hesitant, Nelson climbed on stage to the cheers of the fans and danced to the tune of 'Butta Bomma' with Pooja. This greatly impressed the fans and guests who attended the event.
