Pooja Devariya to debut in Kannada through Katheyondu Shuruvaagide

Actress Pooja Devariya who received critical acclaim for her performances in films like Aandavan Kattalai, Iraivi and Kuttrame Thandanai, is all set to make her debut in the Kannada film industry.

She will be seen in Katheyondu Shuruvagide opposite Diganth. It is a romantic comedy directed by Senna Hegde. The film is produced by actor Rakshit Shetty and Pushkara Mallikarjun under Paramvah Studios banner.

Pooja Devariya gets the Best Actress - Critics Choice in the BGM 2017

We wonder if any other actress would have had the courage to take on the role of Malarvizhi in Iraivi. A role that completely defied the prototype set for women in Tamil cinema, Pooja Devariya essayed the character of a young widow who had no qualms about accepting her biological needs, in perfect fashion.

Her performance as Anu in Kuttrame Thandanai and as Aarthi in Aandavan Kattalai qualify her for the Behindwoods Gold Medal 2017 for Best Actress-Critics Choice.
