Actor Jiiva will be next seen in comedy thriller film, Gorilla which also features Shalini Pandey, Sathish, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu and others. Written and directed by Don Sandy, the film is produced by Vijay Raghavendra under the banner All in Pictures.
The film has cinematography by RB Gurudev and editing by Ruben. Sam CS has composed the music for the film. One other important star in the film is the Chimpanzee named Kong who becomes the film’s title. However, using a real chimpanzee in the film did not go well with the animal activists.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has sent out a press release, stating five reasons to steer clear of the upcoming film. It stated, “As part of our campaign to end the use of wild animals in film and television, PETA India is rallying the public to avoid Don Sandy’s new movie Gorilla, which features a chimpanzee named Kong. “
They have listed out top five reasons on why live animals shouldn't be used in films. The reasons stated are, “Captive primates are separated from their mothers; They’re violently abused; Movie scenes might be short, but the animals suffer for life; Using live animals is unnecessary; It leaves a legacy of harm.” Check out the tweet here -
