NO BED, FAN OR PILLOW FOR RHEA CHAKRABORTY; FACILITIES IN JAIL LISTED

She is being currently lodged in the Byculla jail, the only prison that has holdings for female inmates in Mumbai. High-profile inmates such as Indrani Mukerjea who was accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, are in the jail.

Now, an NDTV report lists the facilities Rhea has been given. Sources say she is in a single room over security reasons. The worry is that she may be attacked by fellow prisoners because of the Sushant Singh Rajput investigations.

Rhea is guarded round the clock by two constables in three shifts. She has been given a mat to sleep on and hasn't been given a bed or a pillow, say sources. Officials also say that she has not been provided with a fan and added that a table fan may be provided, based on a court order.

Due to coronavirus, prisoners are being given milk and turmeric to build immunity. Byculla prison has seen some Covid-19 cases in the past few months. A court today denied bail to the actress, her brother Showik and four other accused.
