NIVIN PAULY’S MAKE-UP MAN DIES AFTER FREAK ACCIDENT; INDUSTRY SHOCKED

Nivin Pauly is one of the leading actors of Malayalam cinema. He made his acting debut in the 2010 film Malarvadi Arts Club. He has acted in a number of Malayalam films including Thattathin Mariyathu, 1983, Bangalore Days, Vikramadityan, Premam, Action Hero Biju amidst several others.

He has also acted in the Malayalam-Tamil bilinguals Neram and Richie. Shabu Pulpally (37) has been Nivin’s make-up artist and assistant since his early days.

Shabu's house is in Pulpally of Kozhikode district. Last night, he had climbed a tree in front of the house to put up a Christmas star and lights. He sustained heavy injuries to his head after he fell from the tree. Shabu was rushed to a private hospital but didn’t respond to treatment. He is survived by his wife Reshmi and two children.

Malayalam movie stars have condoled his death. Actor Dulquer Salmaan wrote, “My heartfelt condolences to the family of Shabu Pulpalli on his untimely demise. I will always cherish the memories of working with him on Bangalore Days and Vikramadithyan and I pray that his family has the strength to get through this trying time. Those who help us and take care of us during our shoots end up becoming our family away from home. Can’t imagine what you’re going through Nivin. I’m sure this loss is irreplaceable. Love and prayers to you and Rinna.”
