However, in December 2020, Rajinikanth had disappointed the hopes of thousands of his supporters by backing off from the decision of launching his political party due to health-related issues.
After returning from the US where he had gone for his medical treatment, the Superstar on Monday (July 12) had told that he might reconsider his decision on not joining electoral politics and thereby would discuss these issues with the office-bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram and inform his final decision.
Now, the Superstar has taken to his social media and shared an official update about it. He has put a full stop to his political entry stating, “I have no further intentions of entering into politics in the future. Therefore, Rajini Makkal Mandram will no longer function. Instead, the organization will carry on the good deeds through Rajinikanth Rasigar Narpani Mandram."
