The actress' latest film was Bigil with Thalapathy Vijay in Atlee's direction. Nayanthara's upcoming film would be Darbar, in which she is paired alongside Thalaivar Rajinikanth. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie is expected to be hit the screens for Pongal next year (2020). 

Now at present, Nayanthara is currently shooting for her next project titled 'Mookuthi Amman', which will mark RJ Balaji's directorial debut. He has written the story, screenplay, dialogues and will also be directing the same with NJ Saravanan for this upcoming film.

For a while now, the actress has been visiting quite a few temples along with Vignesh Shivan. Recently, Nayanthara and Vignesh were spotted at Bhagavathi Amman temple and at Sthanumalayan Temple in Suchindram, both located in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, where the shoot is said to be progressing.
