96 is a romantic film directed by Premkumar, that had Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Adhithya Baskar, and Gouri Kishan in the lead roles while Bagavathi Perumal, Devadharshini, Janagaraj, Aadukalam Murugadoss and others played pivotal roles. The music was composed by Govind Vasantha and singer Chinmayi dubbed for Trisha Krishnan. The film was bankrolled by S Nanthagopal under the banner Madras Enterprises.
The film received positive response from all sides, and also performed well at the Box Office. It was announced that the film will be remade in Kannada and Telugu. The Kannada version, titled 99, released last week and had Golden Star Ganesh reprising Vijay Sethupathi's role, while Bhavana was seen as the female lead.
The video of the song Naa Sanihake Innu has been released by the makers. It was sung by Shreya Ghoshal and penned by Kaviraj. 99 was produced by Ramu, under the banner Ramu films.
Santhosh Rai Pathaje is the cinematographer, while Arjun Janya is the music composer. It must be noted that this is Arjun's 100th film as a music composer. Preetham Gubbi helmed this romantic flick. Catch the video song below:
