SHOCKING FACT: KNOW HOW MANY MOBILES WERE USED FOR 2.0?

Director Shankar's magnum opus 2.0 is all set to hit the screens tomorrow (November 29) and the expectations are set high for this science fiction thriller. In his recent exclusive interview with Behindwoods, art director Muthuraj revealed a massive detail that they shot the film with 1 Lakh mobile phones.

He said, "Yes, we shot the film with more than 1 lakh mobile phones. We always carried bags and bags of phones along with us for the shooting. We always had stocks of mobile phones stored in sack bags. All mobile stores would have dummy model pieces, in the display.

We got all those dummy pieces from various stores. We also collected all the second hand and damaged mobile phones which are not in working condition. We got in touch with mobile manufacturing companies and collected the rejected pieces from their factories. It was a very memorable and a new experience."

2.0 features Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, with music scored by A.R.Rahman, and cinematography by Nirav Shah.
