Ace director Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the production process of 'Ponniyin Selvan', the silver screen adaptation of the five-part Tamil novella written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The director's last-helmed film, the ensemble gangster epic Chekka Chivandha Vaanam, went on to be a critical and commercial success.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film has a star cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu, Lal, Riyaz Khan, Arjun Chidambaram amongst others in prominent roles.
Recently, popular actor Mohan Raman who will also be seen in the upcoming film had posted a series of photographs of him where the actor can be sported with a long beard. Netizens were confused as to why the actor was in this look.
Taking to his social media, he has made it clear that this new look is for Ponniyin Selvan which will be there till June 2020 which also hints us that the shoot will continue till the said month. Check out the pics here -
