THE 'CHERRY' ON TOP! HERE'S WHAT'S CONNECTING MANI RATNAM'S PONNIYIN SELVAN AND THALAIVI RIGHT NOW!

Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the second schedule of the film has started recently in Pondi'cherry', after the first-schedule in Thailand. The film has a star cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu, Lal, Riyaz Khan, Arjun Chidambaram, Mohan Raman amongst others in prominent roles.  

While this grandeur project is being canned, another much-anticipated team is also shooting at the same union territory. AL Vijay's Thalaivi starring Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swami in the lead roles is also being shot there. Kangana's team made an official update on the same in their Instagram handle. Thalaivi is based on the life story of Former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Bankrolled by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R. Singh, the movie will be a multi-lingual project, that will feature GV Prakash's music. The recent glimpse of Arvind Swami as MGR went viral on the internet.
