MASSIVE! OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MANI RATNAM’S PONNIYIN SELVAN!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsAce director Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the production process of 'Ponniyin Selvan', the silver screen adaptation of the five-part Tamil novella written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The director's last-helmed film, the ensemble gangster epic Chekka Chivandha Vaanam, went on to be a critical and commercial success.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film has a star cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu, Lal, Riyaz Khan, Arjun Chidambaram, Mohan Raman amongst others in prominent roles.
Jointly scripted by Mani Ratnam and 'Kaatrin Mozhi', 'Kurangu Bommai' fame actor Kumaravel, the first schedule of the upcoming epic drama had already kickstarted on the 12th of December in Bangkok, Thailand.
The cinematography of the film will be handled by the ace cinematographer, Ravi Varman. Meanwhile, here’s an official announcement from the makers. As a New Year treat for the fans, the makers have decided to unveil the title font tomorrow. Woah, super-excited?
