MANI RATNAM’S PONNIYIN SELVAN: BRAND NEW STILL FROM THE SHOOTING SPOT OFFICIALLY OUT!
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsAce director Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the production process of 'Ponniyin Selvan', the silver screen adaptation of the five-part Tamil novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The director's last-helmed film, the ensemble gangster epic Chekka Chivandha Vaanam, went on to be a critical and commercial success.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, the film has a star cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu, Lal, Riyaz Khan, Arjun Chidambaram, Mohan Raman amongst others in prominent roles.
Jointly scripted by Mani Ratnam and 'Kaatrin Mozhi', 'Kurangu Bommai' fame actor Kumaravel, the first schedule of the upcoming epic drama that had kickstarted on December 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand have wrapped up recently.
And the second schedule is said to have started in Pondicherry yesterday. Jayam Ravi is said to have joined this schedule while others are expected to join the shoot soon. Meanwhile, Bejoy Nambiar who is working as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam has shared a brand new still from the shooting spot! Check it out here -
