In the movie, the veteran actor will be seen as a chaver (warrior), who plots to kill Zamorins (old rulers of Calicut, Kerala). The movie has a star cast, including, Mammootty, Unni Mukundan, Kaniha, Anusree, Idavela Babu, Siddique, Manikkuttan, Manikandan Achary, Tarun Arora, Prachi Tehlan, amongst others.

The movie is a period drama set against the backdrop of a religious festival, held once every 12 years at Thirunavaya, on the banks of Bharathapuzha in Kerala. Unni Mukundan will appear as ‘Chandroth Nambiar’. M. Jayachandran has done the music for the film.

The crew had earlier launched a teaser and trailer, which have given expectations from the fans of the actor. Reportedly, the movie will be released in 400 theatres in Kerala and 2,000 screens around the world. Manoj Pillai handles the cinematography of the movie while Shankar Ramaskrishnan has written the adapted screenplay.
