The movie has opened to positive responses from the audience - fans showed their love for the movie by bobbing the director Karthick Naren up and down on their shoulders and the director received much love as he made an appearance at the theatres!

The climax twist and the gun shot sequences were especially appreciated by most of the audience, and many claim that in the wait for 2nd part of movies like Vadachennai, Mafia has also earned a place. A prologue for the 2nd part has been given, the audience remark, and everyone is 'Vera level' appreciation for Dexter! But who is this Dexter? Watch the movie!
