Abruptly, he tweeted yesterday (March 2 2020) that he is planning to give up on social media on Sunday (March 7,2020).The tweet went viral with messages and replies rushing his feed. There were people who mocked. Also, there were also people who were saddened and shocked by his tweet.

Actress Lakshmi Manchu,  who predominantly works in Telugu film industry, became popular amidst the Tamil audience after the film, 'Kaatrin Mozhi' directed by Radha Mohan. However, her debut film in Tamil was 'Kadal', directed by Manirathnam. She reacted to the tweet of Narendra Modi expressing her unhappiness about his idea to quit social media.
