Recently, the actor attended the Behindwoods Gold Medals 2019 that was conducted on the 8th of December 2019, and was awarded Best Actor - Special Mention for Kumbalangi Nights and Ishq Gold Medal. 

Shane Nigam, when asked about his favorite actor, he mentioned that he liked Vijay Deverakonda. Also, when requested, he sang Munbe Vaa from Suriya's Jillunu Oru Kaadhal onstage, and mentioned he loved to sing. Watch the video here!

In Kumbalangi Nights, Debutant C Narayanan's directorial, the actor co-starred with Fahadh Faasil, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Anna Ben, and Mathew Thomas. Co-starring 'Kalidas' actress Ann Sheethal, Shine Tom Chacko, Leona Lishoy in principal roles, Ishq is directed by Anuraj.
