Pariyerum Perumal, directed by Mari Selvaraj was one of the most applauded films of the year. The film won many awards, for its unique storyline and amazing direction. The movie is now all set to be officially remade in Kannada.
Maithreya is the husband of Aparna, who is the granddaughter of AVM Studios Saravanan, is gearing up for the remake of Pariyerum Perumal, where he will be playing the lead. He will also be producing this film.
The movie will be directed by Gandhi Manivasagam, who directed the Tamil film ‘Kalavani Maapliai’. The rest of the cast and crew have not been finalized yet. The makers are trying to rope in esteemed actors to play pivotal roles in the film.
In order to portray the role right, Maithreya had been staying in the outskirts of Bangalore along with the residents where this film will be shot, to understand their lifestyle better. He has been practising to get the body language right too.
