Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsWe had earlier reported that post Vijay’s ‘Master’, young director Lokesh Kanagaraj will be helming the director’s hat for Superstar Rajinikanth’s next film, which is to be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. Well, there seems to be a slight change of plans.
Sources close to us have now revealed that before directing Rajinikanth’s film, Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to direct a quickie with Kamal Haasan, which will be an out and out political thriller. Also, the makers are eyeing to release the movie ahead of the 2021 TN Assembly elections. With Kamal also starting his own political party, a release right before the elections seems like a masterplan. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised and an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
Apart from this movie, Kamal will be playing the lead in ‘Indian 2’, directed by Shankar. The movie is the sequel of the 1996 blockbuster film ‘Indian’. The mega project is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and an update regarding the progress of the movie is awaited. He will also soon commence working on his pet project 'Thalaivan Irukkiraan'.
