He has also worked across different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Bengali. Also the accolades and honors that the versatile actor has gathered till date also includes three national awards.
The actor's family is full of special talents in the film industry - Charu Haasan and Chandra Haasan (Brothers), Shruti and Akshara Haasan (his daughters), Suhasini Maniratnam and Anu Haasan (nieces).
Also, as mentioned before, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is the chief of a political party - MNM (Makkal Needhi Mayyam). Speaking at an event, Kamal Haasan has mentioned that he wants his friend Rajinikanth to help Tamil Nadu, as it has helped him, and that at present he is a Tamizhian even though he is from elsewhere.
