83 is an upcoming Hindi film which will stage the story of the Indian Cricket team, led by Kapil Dev, making their way to create history by winning the 1983 World Cup after beating West Indies.
With Kabir Khan of Tubelight, Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame, as the director, Reliance Entertainment will present this film. Ranveer Singh, after his continuous blockbusters Padmavat, Siimba and Gully Boy, will reprise the role of Kapil Dev and Tamil actor Jiiva will play the role of cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth.
Kabir Khan has set a 15 day training programme for the entire cast in Dharamshala where they will practice, bond and spend time together so that before the shoot they will become a real team.
Now, actor Jiiva has shared pictures of this team enjoying their company and bonding, on his Instagram page. While the 1983 cricket team was called Kapil’s Devils, we have to see what kind of fun devils will this Kabir’s 11 men gang turn into.
The film is expected to go on floors in May and shooting will happen in London. More details and updates of the film are expected to be arriving in line.
