''I WANT TO MAKE A FILM FOR AJITH'', DIRECTOR DISCLOSES

Behindwoods Gold Medal Awards 2015 was conducted on 24th July at Lady Andal auditorium in Chennai which was MCed by Robo Shankar and VJ Ramya who kept the audience alive with their sharp wit and timely humor. There were quite a few interesting snippets and we bring you a few.

1. Kaaka Muttai director Manikandan admitted that his inability to get his son a plate of Pizza during his lean years was the trigger to conceive Kaaka Muttai wherein he extrapolated the idea of dad-less children desiring for pizza.

2. Manikandan also said he will be breaking the stereotypes of a successful director sticking to the same genre for his next with Kuttramae Dhandanai.

3. Balaji Mohan on winning the Best Trailer award for Maari said that he was very happy with the many versions of the trailer, which made him feel that the audience owned the trailer.

4. When asked if Robo Shankar will be there in Maari 2, Balaji Mohan said, “There can be no Maari 2 without Dhanush. The same thing holds good for Robo Shankar too”.

5. It was a heartwarming sight to watch Gautham Menon awarding his sister Uthara Menon for Best Costumer for Yennai Arindhaal.

6. Director R Ravikumar on accepting the Best Screenplay award stated that he wants to make a film for Ajith.

7. When Robo Shankar was to receive the award for Best Comedian-Male, he ensured that he got out of the VJing podium, made Ramya call out his name and then only came upon the stage to accept his award.

8. Aishwarya Rajesh admitted that the best compliment she got for Kaaka Muttai was from Chinna Kaaka Muttai’s mom who said that she felt as though she was seeing herself on screen. Rightfully so, Aishwarya dedicated her award for Best Supporting Actor-Female to all the moms.
