ADITI RAO HYDARI CRIED ON THE LAST DAY OF HEY SINAMIKA SHOOT - INTERESTING INCIDENTS REVEALED!

Produced by Jio Studios and Global One Studios, the film introduces leading choreographer Brinda Master as the director. Here's an insight of the interview with Aditi about her experience working for Hey Sinamika.

What made you accept this movie?

I really love Brinda Master and I like working with her. She was particular that Dulquer and I should star in the first film that she directs. This is very different from the characters I've played before.

How was it working with Dulquer Salmaan?

Dulquer and I have been friends even before this movie. We were excited and happy to work together. We both have a deep respect for Brinda Master.

How different is your role in this film?

I will be seen in a completely different role in this movie from what I have essayed so far. There are different sides of a human being. Only people close to me know about my funny side. This side of mine was noticed by Brinda Master during our dance rehearsal. And that's why I think she was determined to cast me in this film. Fans can see that other side of me in this movie.

How was it performing comedy in this film?

I have never played a lighter character before. Much of the comedy lies in the screenplay of the film, the setting and the way it is written. Making people laugh is one of the hardest things to do. A lot of talented actors have worked with us. This has made our job easier.

How would you rate Brinda as a director?

Brinda is very talented as a director. She did not bring in her choreographing mode while directing the film. She completely maintained those two departments separately. She also knows how to handle the actors.

For example, she knows that I like rehearsals and plans accordingly. She is like an excited kid in the shoot who completely enjoys directing every scenes. She is clear on what she wants and at the same time appreciates our comments.

About working with Kajal Agarwal 

Kajal is an experienced actress. I don’t have much scenes with her in this film. The two of us acted together only in a few key scenes. Her visit gave a new energy. I have to credit Kajal for getting used to all of us easily. I also admire how she manages to deliver her best despite the language barriers.

Share some interesting moments from the shoot ...

We had many interesting experiences while filming. Once, we were all caught in a cyclone. Dulquer teased me when I started crying in panic and took a photo and posted it on social media. In the early stages of Covid pandemic, we used to drink rasam and continue shooting. Then the curfew was announced, but as soon as the relaxations were announced we returned with more energy. I did not want this shoot to end, actually cried on the last day of filming.

What is your view on multi-starrers?

For me there is no ego or insecurity in doing multistarrer. When you work with people you trust, you do not feel insecure. I'm clear on why I am doing a film and what role I have in it.

For me it is important to impress the audiences. Although I do not want to be associated with a particular type of film, I do love stories. When there is a different trend or journey in a love story, it is always interesting.

How do you want people to remember you?

I find cinema to be magical and timeless. Which is why it is important for me to work with directors I respect and admire. I want to be somebody who is timeless and relevant with time.
