Director A.R Murugadoss is currently busy with the shooting of upcoming big-ticket directorial, Darbar, which stars Superstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara in lead roles, along with actors Jatin Sarna, Prateik Babbar, Sriman, Yogi Babu and others in supporting roles. Now,a popular Hollywood actor has knocked the director's doors to be a part of this mammoth project.
Veteran Hollywood actor Bill Duke, star of films like X-Men: The Last Stand, Commando, Predator and Mandy, had tweeted to A.R Murugadoss, requesting to be a part of the film. The actor, in his post, mentioned that though he cannot speak Tamil he can play the part of Rajinikanth's long lost American cousin or even as Nayanthara's uncle.

A.R. Murugadoss was floored by this special request. He asked whether it is really the Hollywood actor who had tweeted to him, to which Bill replied that he and his agency are big admirers of his work and had further expressed his interest to collaborate with his team.

The second schedule of Darbar is proceeding at a rapid pace and is expected to be completed on June 30. The film is shot by Santosh Sivan and edited by Sreekar Prasad. The film also features music by Anirudh Ravichander. Darbar is eyeing for a Pongal release next year.
