'THALAPATHY 65, MAARA'S CHARACTER AND THEME SONG SECRETS'- GV PRAKASH REVEALS
Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsIn an interview to Behindwoods, GV Prakash Kumar talks about his forthcoming Indo-American project Trap City, his journey in the past decade of Tamil cinema- which started with Aayirathil Oruvan and concluded with Asuran, with various acting assignments in between, for GV Prakash Kumar.
The composer said that nothing was planned between this journey "I just put my hard work and its results are not in my hands. When we put in our effort, a film can suddenly turn your fortunes. Suddenly, a Sivappu Manjal Pachai and Naachiyar will happen. Nothing is pre-destined. That being said, I feel happy to have started the journey with Aayirathil Oruvan. People are still talking about film."
On Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru, GV said "It (Soorarai Pottru) is a great combination of good actors, makers and technicians coming together. It is a dream for everyone and it will come up." GV felt that the character of Maara (played by Suriya) demanded a powerful theme "The theme will reflect on the character, whenever he appears."
GV also said that Suriya was really involved during the recording process "He used to give a lot of inputs for rendering the song's vocals, and I assure him that these aspects are fine. I sent him the track and he used to practice with that."
Regarding his involvement as music composer for actor Vijay's 65th film, the actor-composer kept mum on it, saying that it is too early to talk about the film.
