But a few days before the scheduled release, The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Thiruvananthapuram has referred the film to the revising committee in Mumbai. CBFC officials in Kerala had an issue with an 8-minute long sequence in the film, which they either wanted to be blurred or completely removed. Since director Anwar Rasheed was not willing to agree the proposal, they had referred the film to Mumbai. Now it has been announced by Fahadh Faasil through his official Facebook page, that Trance certified a clean U/A without a single cut by the Revising Committee. Also, the releasing date of the movie has been announced to be on the 20th of February 2020. 

Trance cinematography is handled by Amal Neerad and edited by Praveen Prabhakar. The music is composed by Jackson Vijay and screenplay is by Vincent Vadakkan. Also, Fahadh had revealed the poster of Nazriya in a riveting style. The main cast of the movie includes Fahadh, Nazriya, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Soubin Shahir, Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod, Dileesh Pothan, Srinda, Sreenath Bhasi, Jinu Joseph, Arjun Ashokan, Joju George, Dharmajan, Arushi Mudgal, Aswathi Menon!
