DULQUER SALMAAN'S KURUP IN TROUBLE, LEGAL NOTICE SLAPPED; WHAT HAPPENED?

Directed by Srinath Rajendran, Kurup will portray the narrative of Sukumara Kurup, a family man who, after reading a crime involving embezzlement of insurance money in Germany, got motivated to insure and script his own death by murdering a man, Chacko, in a bid to lay his hands on the money.

Chacko’s family has slapped a legal notice on the Kurup team, demanding a pre-release screening for Chacko’s wife Santhamma and her son. Santhamma was pregnant when her better half was slaughtered by Sukumara Kurup in 1984. Santhamma fears the film will celebrate Kurup and corrupt her late spouse.

The makers are yet to officially respond to the legal notice.
