RIP: RENOWNED CINEMATOGRAPHER KANNAN POPULARLY REFERRED TO AS "BHARATHIRAJAVIN KANGAL" PASSES AWAY!

He was well-known for his association with Bharathiraja because he had done up to 40 films with the director. Popular films from the duo include movies such as Nizhalgal, Alaigal Oivathillai, Kizhakku Cheemaiyile, Karuthammma, amongst others.
B Kannan has worked in languages Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. He was the son of legendary director Bhim Singh and brother of B Lenin.
His long association with Bharathiraja brought him the name of “Bharathirajavin Kangal”. The news of his demise was shared by Producer and BOFTA founder Dhananjayan in his tweet- “Very sad to report the passing away of Legendary Cinematographer #BKannan sir, who worked in more than 50 films (40 films with @offBharathiraja sir). He was HoD at @BOFTAindia for Cinematography. Very sad we lost such a jovial & wonderful person from our team. #RIP Kannan sir🙏🙏"
