Peranbu is director Ram's next directorial that has Mammootty in the lead role alongside Anjali, Sadhana, Anjali Ameer and others. It has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while Theni Easwar has handled the lens. The film made it's world premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival, while it is hitting the screens today.
In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Ram revealed that it was very difficult to convince Mammootty to act in the movie. "He agreed to act, but the shoot spot was 2.5 hours from Kodaikanal. He was skeptical about travelling so much, and wasn't sure.
I told him that we're shooting the sunrise the next day, and he said he'll try to come. Just as we were losing hope, Mammootty proved why he is a legend. We asked him to come around 5:45 am in the morning, but he was present at 5:30 am itself," said Ram.
The trailer, songs and promo videos of Peranbu got a good response from the audiences, while the press has been raving about the film, since the premiere show on Tuesday. Stay tuned for more updates.
