Director Ameer is one of the many film fraternity members protesting around the Chepauk cricket stadium ahead of the IPL game between CSK and KKR later tonight, April 10. The hundreds of civilians who are also protesting, are being led by film celebs in their efforts to push the setting up of the Cauvery Management Board to resolve important water issues between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Just a short while ago, director Ameer was arrested by the police and escorted into their vans to be removed from the scene. As the van was about to leave, Ameer said to reporters, "The protest will neither end nor fail if some of us are arrested. We will not stop until the Cauvery Management Board is set up."
