Krishnakumar Kunnath, who attended a concert in Kolkata, is said to have suddenly collapsed on stage while singing there. Following this, the doctors who examined him admitted him to the hospital and said that he was already dead. Similarly, initial reports suggest he may have died of a heart attack.

The sudden demise of KK has left many of the singers, composers and directors who worked with him frozen in shock and expressing their admiration. KK, who has sung many hit songs in Tamil, has recently sung two songs to the music of Harris Jayaraj in the film 'The Legend'.

The directors of The Legend have shared their tribute by sharing a video of JD-Jerry singing the song 'Konchi Konchi' from the movie. It said, “The demise of KK is a disaster in the music world. We recently recorded the song Konchi Konchi in Mumbai with him for our film The Legend.
