“WE SHOULDN’T HAVE REMOVED D-16..”

Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (D-16) the Rahman starrer, directed by 22 year old Karthick Naren received highly positive reviews upon it’s release and a good word of mouth from everyone who watched it. It has been quite a few days since D-16 hit the screens and there have not been a high number of film releases post it’s critical reception.

In an exclusive chat with Udhayam theatre’s manager, he said,  “We shouldn’t have removed D-16 from our theatre. The crime thriller had been getting really good reviews and it was doing well. We removed it to accommodate bigger film releases but they did not perform too well. Also, bringing back a movie to theatres once it has been removed is a very hard process. D-16 would have done good business if it had been retained for it’s strong content.”
