It all started when a video surfaced in Twitter, which featured a soulful rendition of Imman's composition Kannana Kanney, a song from the Ajith Kumar-starrer Pongal blockbuster Viswasam. On 21st September, D. Imman retweeted the post, asking about the whereabouts of the singer.

After that, it was found that the singer's name in Thirumoorthy and hails from the Nochipatti village of Krishnagiri district. D. Imman then twieeted that he has spoken to the visually challenged vocalist and also announced his plans to rope him for a song. He had also thanked those who shared Thirumoorthy's contact information.
