Director Atlee had recently collaborated with actor Vijay for the third time with the sports-based action film Bigil, which starred Nayanthara as female lead while the supporting cast includes Vivekh, Anandraj, Reba Monica John, Indhuja, Jackie Shroff and others in supporting roles.
The 180 crore project is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram under the banner AGS Entertainment. The AR Rahman musical was shot by G.K. Vishnu while Ruben handled the editing department.
The film has set the cash registers ringing, tehreby receiving overwhelming reports from the box office. After Bigil, Atlee will be reportedly helming Shah Rukh Khan in a forthcoming project, thereby marking the director's foray into Hindi cinema.
Meanwhile, social media were rife with reports suggesting that the project will be titled 'Sanki'. However, our reliable sources close to the project have completely denied the development.
