Superstar Rajinikanth is fresh from the success of Petta, that was directed by Karthik Subbaraj, starring Simran, Trisha, Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Megha Akash, Bobby Simha, Sananth and others as a part of its starcast. The film completed it's 50-day run at the theatres today.
Rajinikanth will next be seen in a film directed by AR Murugadoss, that sees Petta music director Anirudh, score the music. Rumours were floating on the internet that this film will have 2 female leads, namely - Nayanthara, and Keerthy Suresh.
Sources close to us have confirmed that Keerthy Suresh is not a part of the film. When got in touch with Rajinikanth's PRO, Riaz K Ahmed to clarify this, he said: "The film is in the early stages of discussion. Nothing is confirmed as of now. An official statement will be issued in March. The rumours are baseless."
Following the success of Petta, which is a blockbuster, it remains to be seen what is in store for us in the next film. Murugadoss is a director who has not shied away from portraying politics in his films, and Rajinikanth is about to make a leap into politics, which makes Thalaivar 166 an interesting film to watch out for.
