MAJOR CHANGE IN INDIAN 2 TEAM: DIRECTOR SHANKAR RE-UNITES WITH THIS 'ENDHIRAN' FAME

Meanwhile, the film’s technical team has undergone a major change. Acclaimed lensman Ravi Varman, who was initially signed up to handle the film's cinematography, has opted out of the film. Rathnavelu, who had earlier worked with director Shankar in the 2010 sci-fi blockbuster Endhiran, has replaced Ravi Varman as the cinematographer of the film.

Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian was also directed by Shankar, with music by AR Rahman. It had Kamal Haasan in dual roles - Chandru and Senapathy. The shooting of Indian 2 is said to commence on August 12.

Apart from Kamal Haasan, Indian 2 boasts of a credible star cast that includes Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Aishwarya Rajesh and others. The film is produced by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. Currently, the team is scouting locations at Andhra Pradesh.
