The Lok Sabha Election polls for 2019 happened in Tamilnadu on April 18 which witnessed a good number of people turning up for voting including celebrities and political leaders. Many actors’ names were also missing from the voters’ list.
Actors Ramesh Kanna, Robo Shankar, Sivakarthikeyan complained that their names were missing from the Voters’ list. This created so many confusions. Robo Shankar and Ramesh Kanna even reported that they have not voted because of this and expressed their concern.
Sivakarthikeyan later posted a picture with his finger inked. Apparently, after negotiations with the Election Commission officer at that particular booth, Sivakarthikeyan had been allowed to vote in spite of his name missing from the list.
Now, Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo IAS has stated that making Sivakarthikeyan vote despite his name missing from the Voters’ list is a violation and we will take action on the officer who had allowed him to vote.
