Yashika Aannand is one of the upcoming actresses in the Tamil film industry. She made a proper debut in Karthick Naren's Dhuruvangal Pathinaru, that had Rahman playing the lead role. Later, she acted in the Santhosh P Jayakumar's Iruttu Araiyil Morattu Kuththu alongside Gautham Karthik, Shah-Ra, Vaibhavi Shandilya, and Chandrika Ravi.
However, she shot to fame after participating in the second season of Bigg Boss hosted by Kamal Haasan. She started getting more movie offers, and is currently working on Zombie, an untitled film with Mahat (another Bigg Boss contestant), and playing a cameo in Arav's Raja Bheema.
She was having a fan interaction session on Twitter recently, during which she spoke about working with Ajith, and other personal questions. Soon, a fan questioned her about her political entry, for which she replied:
