Balasaravanan of Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum is making his Mollywood debut through Godha directed by Basil Joseph, featuring Tovino Thomas and Wamiqua Gabbi. The film is hitting the screens on the 12th of May.
Balasaravanan tells us about Godha and how he bagged the role. “Basil Joseph had worked in Kunjiramayanam which has Justin Prabhakar’s music. During those times, he had seen Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum short film and had wanted to talk to me.
When he spoke, he mentioned that there is a character in his film which he would like me to do. He also stated that my character would be a Tamil friend of the hero in college. I liked the script and agreed. My character is from Madurai, knows and understands Malayalam but is not fluent.
I am a great fan of Malayalam films and would not miss watching any of them. So when I got a chance to do a Malayalam film, I was very happy.
The film is about wrestling. The shooting of the film happened in Chandigarh around 50 days. It was a wonderful experience. The film is releasing on 12th May and my Tamil film Ulkuthu is also releasing on the same day. I am happy that my two films in two different languages are hitting the screens on the same day.”
We wish you the best Balasaravanan
