Vijay Sethupathi will be next seen in the S.U. Arun Kumar directed action-thriller Sindhubaadh, in which the actor will be paired alongside Anjali. Vijay Sethupathi's son, Surya Vijay Sethupathi will also be making his acting debut through the film.
Sindhubaadh is bankrolled by S.N Rajarajan and Shan Sutharsan under the banner of K Productions and Vansan Movies. The film suffered some legal troubles as a stay on the film's release was ordered by the Hyderabad High court, based on the legal notice sent by Arka Media Works, producers of the pan-Indian blockbuster Baahubali series.
The owner of K Productions owes them an amount of 17.60 crores towards purchase of the exploitation rights of the feature film, Baahubali – The Conclusion in Tamil Nadu. However, Arka Media Works, in a recent press release had released an official statement saying that they have agreed a no-objection certificate to clear the release of Sindhubaadh, which is slated to hit the screens on 27th May.
Along with the proprietors of K Productions, Escape Artists – Madan is also named as the co-obligant in the issue, a week’s time has been given to the producers to provide security for the amount owed. P. Madan is one of the producers of Dhanush's Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta.
