The Academy Awards, hosted by Hollywood film industry is one of the most important events of World Cinema, as fans of cinema wait with bated breath to see the winners. After recent criticism, The Academy has decided to diversify their approach towards selecting jury members.
The recent member from Indian cinema, and most specifically, Tamil cinema is Srinivas Mohan, the visual effects supervisor of big-budget epics like director Shankar's 2.0 and the SS Rajamouli-helmed period fantasy Baahubali.

Srinivas Mohan who has predominantly worked in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, will be a part of the jury in the category of visual effects . The vfx artist is known for his groundbreaking special effects work in films like Sivaji, Endhiran and the Baahubali series. This induction has indeed been a proud moment for Indian cinema.
Apart from Srinivas, celebrated screenwriter and filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap, well known for his performance in Imaikka Nodigal will be joining this elite club. Other Indian film personalities includes directors Ritesh Batra, Zoya Akthar, actor Anupam Kher and vfx artist Sherry Bharda.
