Apart from the big screens, he had also played the lead role in a serial that was aired in Vijay TV - titled 'Rettai Vaal Kuruvi'. Post his CWC, he went on to bag a handful of interesting projects including Enna Solla Pogirai (debut as a hero), an untitled film directed by Prabhu Solomon and so on to name a few.

A few months back, Ashwin and Reba Monica John joined hands together to work on a music video 'Kutti Pattas'. It soon went viral for its catchy track and peppy dance performances. After which, he worked on 'Adipodi', a music video where he was paired with Kushee Ravi. Sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan & Sivaangi, the music video has clocked 26 million views till date. 

Ashwin signed 'Yaathi Yaathi' number recently as he was impressed by the song, composed by Abhishek CS. It has him pairing up with Lamberghini girl Harshada Vijay and has choreography by dance master Sridhar. The song has also become an instant hit and is close to hitting five million views. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Ashwin said that he constantly strives to give his best even if it is one song.

"Everyone should enjoy it and not get a feeling like 'Why did he do this?'. I don't waste the opportunity. I take it up, put in my best with all my hard work and work on it with full satisfaction. When I listened to Yaathi Yaathi, I had an instant positive vibe and I immediately said yes to it," he said. 

Speaking about his life and struggles he said, "When the song became a hit, I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs, because I didn't come here easily. I came with a lot of dreams. You feel happy for me and proud because you understand the pain I've undergone in my life. Only I know the amount of tears I've shed inside four walls without anyone's knowledge."
